As the old cliché goes: “Variety is the spice of life!”
Here at the Lexington Humane Society (LHS), we could write the book on variety! We have pets in all shapes and sizes just waiting and hoping for a forever home. There seems to be a common misconception that animal shelters are filled with animals who are sick, old, and simply beaten-down. This is not true! Most shelter animals are perfect, just in need of a fresh start. And at LHS, our animals are not just perfect—OUR ANIMALS ROCK!
While we do see our fair share of animals who have not had the easiest of lives, most of the dogs and cats we shelter are wonderful, well-adjusted companions who need just one thing—a forever home!
