For Kids
Tis the season to help out the LHS critters! Look at our Wish List and check out a Doggie Bank to help us take care of all of our four-legged friends this holiday season.
How to Get Involved at LHS:
While you need to be at least 14 to volunteer at the shelter, there are lots of other ways to help out our critters in the meantime!
-
Have your parents check out a Doggie Bank to gather money for the shelter from friends and family
-
Set up a lemonade stand in your neighborhood with your friends (make sure to get your parents’ permission)
-
Have a pet supply drive in your classroom
-
Teach your friends and family how to properly take care of a pet
-
-
-
Help stop animal cruelty by knowing the signs and telling an adult so they can report it - Have a bake sale with proceeds going to the LHS critters
-
Start an animal protection club at your school - Learn about taking care of animals here
-
Have your birthday party at LHS with guests bringing donations instead of gifts
